Gerry McTernan has been a partner with the Law Firm of Russell, McTernan, McTernan & Fruci, LLP since 1985. Attorney McTernan has extensive experience in the area of Elder Law and Estate Planning. For more than 20 years, he has provided clients with the advice and planning necessary to protect assets and insure proper distribution to family members. His expertise includes the drafting of simple estate planning documents such as wills, powers of attorneys, health care proxies and living wills to the more complicated trust documents necessary to reduce estate taxes. His specialties include the planning required to protect your home and savings from the high cost of nursing home care, and all aspects of probating estates and establishing guardianships. Attorney McTernan is an active member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

Prior to joining Russell, McTernan, McTernan & Fruci, LLP, Attorney McTernan served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston and worked in private practice representing individuals who were injured both at work and in other circumstances.His practice today continues to include worker’s compensation and other personal injury claims, as well as an ongoing real estate law practice.
Attorney McTernan is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and past member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a graduate of Ohio University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School.
